Boston, Massachusetts, United States

I am currently the integrated communications intern at Boston University's School of Social Work. Further, I am a SARP Ambassador at Boston University's Sexual Assault Response and Prevention Center.

In 2012, I became the public relations officer for Danceopolis, a dance website in Toronto. I forged a connection with Canada's National Ballet School, leading to Danceopolis’ participation in International Dance Day 2012. Through my promotion of the website on social media, Dusk Dances, an outdoor dance showcase, asked Danceopolis to cover its 2012 contemporary dance festival. I planned two successful workshops, hosted by So You Think You Can Dance Canada contestants Adam LoPapa and Melissa Mitro.

Prior to Danceopolis, I worked for Leon’s Furniture, the largest furniture retailer in North America. In 2011, I was promoted to Customer Care Manager. I presented information about Leon’s need for social media and assisted in creating a new company position: Leon’s Social Media Decorator, the online community manager. Leon’s Furniture now maintains a growing social media presence.

I worked with the NextMedia / DigiAward conferences in 2011 and 2012, assisting with registration, set up, ushering and backstage organization. I was also the Twitter correspondent for the 2012 Dreamers Renegades Visionaries: The Glenn Gould Variations event.

I completed a specialized degree in visual communications at the University of Toronto. I am completing my master’s degree in public relations at Boston University, though I am certain my Hogwarts acceptance was lost in the mail.
