Rebecca E. Bangs is a Minnesota-based painter creating pointillist nature paintings and game-inspired contemporary realism. She earned her MFA in Painting with honors from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where her thesis series, Game Night, explored tabletop games as systems of recognition, nostalgia, structure, and implied participation.

Her work is rooted in color, memory, play, perception, and the quiet pleasure of looking closely. From flowers, trees, landscapes, and seascapes to puzzles, chess pieces, and board games, Rebecca’s paintings invite viewers to move between distance and detail, recognition and discovery.
