Hi I'm Rebecca. I have a passion for Media Production, specialising in Graphic Design and Photography.
Photography
As a child I was always fascinated by cameras and ways of permanently capturing the things around me. My passion for photography started in my childhood when I used my father's Nikon Film camera before the widespread use of consumer cameras. Throughout my teenage years I have been extremely interested in the medium and have been I have regularly been updating my on-line photography portfolio on Flickr since 2008.
In December 2010 I won a cover shot competition held by East Anglia Rider magazine, which led to one of my images being used as the cover photograph for its January 2011 issue. In addition, many of my equine images have been used on my riding stable’s website to illustrate its ‘Meet the Horses’ page.
I really enjoy working in an abstract way, looking at lines, patterns, and textures. I also like to experiment with my photography through using post-processing techniques such as Photoshop.
Graphic Design
I developed my passion for Graphic Design in around 2011 when I decided to have a go at entering a T-Shirt design competition held by American band 'Sparks The Rescue'. I opened up Adobe Photoshop for the first time and was introduced to a platform which gave me creative freedom and endless possibilities.
Although I didn't win the competition, this sparked my interest in designing merchendise for the bands I listen to and love. From 2011 to the present, I have produced countless designs using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop which I render onto photo-realistic templates and post to my personal tumblr page, some going viral within the fandom's of the bands I create designs for, reaching up to 6000 notes.
Notable achievements:
- In 2011 I entered and won a design competition held by ‘Shakey Jakey’s’ Colchester and having my logo used on their promotional materials and their milkshake cups.
- In 2012, I worked in collaboration with the American pop-rock band ‘This Century’ to design a T-Shirt for their web-store, which is now sold worldwide.
- Getting into the final round of popular music website Pupfresh.com's T-Shirt design competition.
- This year I worked with Norfolk band April's Ghost to design a logo/band identity which has been used on their album artwork for their debut single and other
