I am a passionately open-minded professional with diverse experiences & interests and a sincere desire to help people and the environment.

Our family has a long-term goal of self sufficiency, but we're starting small by educating ourselves and practicing small-scale homesteading in an urban environment. We're taking this time to challenge ourselves by expanding our skill sets so that we can have an adaptable and resilient homestead.

Photography is more of an obsession than a hobby: just ask my 17 cameras.

I like numbers and puzzles and being able to sort them.

I cook and bake, sometimes healthily. And more and more from scratch.

My husband and I welcomed new life into this world in 2014, and we have never felt so filled with purpose.

I love nothing more than to share and hear stories of peoples' lives, loves, and conquests and am always looking to make friends with potential guest bloggers, particularly those with experiences related to self sufficiency or sustainability.
