Rebecca Herndon

Hi everyone! My name is Rebecca but I go by Becca for short. I am a San Diego State University senior. I am studying Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and an auxiliary disipline in management.

I am currently the director of special events for the SDSU Public Relations Student Society of America chapter. I enjoy networking with professionals and having them come to speak to our chapter. One of my favorite things about PRSSA is the connections that are made with students and professionals.

I am interested in event planning and PR and how they tie together. I am to-do list girl with a planner that has more notes than a symphony. I love to be busy and stay pretty busy with work, school, PRSSA, and building my professional career.

I believe in doing work you care about and doing something you love.

My future goals include traveling to Australia, going on a hot air balloon ride and getting a PR internship here in sunny San Diego. One day I hope to own my own PR firm. I am a red wine drinker and steak and potatoes kind of girl. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty and know that hard work and determination are the only things that are going to lead me to where I want to go in life.
