Rebecca Angell-Marie Laborde was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her mother, Susan Foret is a nurse as is her stepfather, Kent Foret. Rebecca is the oldest of three siblings. Her younger sister, Elizabeth, is in Veterinary school, and her brother, Joshua, is still in high school.
As a child, Rebecca was a very quiet, sensitive child who loved reading fairytales, painting, and watching movies more than playing sports or flirting with boys. In addition to being a nurse, her mother was also a stage actress and classically trained singer, and Rebecca would enjoy watching the tapes of her mother performing. The acting bug was then passed onto Rebecca who would watch shows like Barney, Sesame Street, and the X-Files while imagining herself living in those worlds.
Throughout Elementary School and High School, Rebecca performed in plays while also participating in school choirs and Honor Choirs. She then went on to receive her undergrad degree from the University of New Orleans in Film, Theatre, and Communication Arts. She also received a minor in Psychology from the same University.
During her time at UNO and for a few years after, Rebecca acted on many of New Orleans' stages, including Le Petite Theatre Du Vieux Carre which is one of the leading community theaters in the nation. When she has free time, Rebecca also loves to paint.
A few years after graduating from UNO, Rebecca went on to receive a deeper level of acting training at the Tom Todoroff Conservatory in Manhattan. She now resides in Brooklyn, New York with her roommates, Scott Keyes and Jonathan Vanderzon, and her cat, Decatur.
