After 10 years of teaching in public schools, I knew that the Lord had called me to teach as a part of my life’s purpose. My calling was to teach students how to read and write and calculate, but also to show them God’s love and mercy in a tangible way each and every day. In September 2007, I felt the Lord tugging at my heart to share what He had showed me about being a Christian teacher in public schools with other Christian teachers who had the same call on their lives. I started by publishing a short, one-page newsletter each month. Now, I am working to reach a broader audience through my blog, fruitfulteaching.wordpress.com.
