Rebecca Skeeles' career has been varied and exciting. For nearly her entire life, she has worked at her family's company, Skeeles Manufacuring Inc, a countertop and fixtures company. She has contributed to nearly every aspect of the business. Once she graduated law school and had passed the Bar in Ohio, she began serving as the corporate council. She is also serving as the Vice President of Sales. Rebecca Skeeles has always had an eye for design and as the head of sales, she gets to use those skills regularly. She collaborates with clients, both businesses and individuals, to find the perfect materials for their project. In this way, Rebecca can get hands on from beginning to end of every sale.
Once she graduated from Capital University Law School, she took a job with the Ohio State Bar Association, where she worked as a Member Services Specialist. She found that she had a skill as an educator and speaker. An important part of any Bar association or legal organization is CLE, or continued legal education. This means staying up-to-date on the latest changes and precedents within your state's bar. The industry standard tool for legal research is called CaseMaker®. CaseMaker® makes research tools that are always changing and being updated, so it is important for legal professional to stay current on it's latest version. Rebecca Skeeles found a niche as the go-to person for CaseMaker®. She was the resident expert, and would help ensure that the members of the Ohio State Bar were skilled using the powerful and valuable tools that CaseMaker® produce.
After leaving the Ohio State Bar Association in 2013 (though she is still a member), she was approached CaseMaker®. They host their own seminars and speeches very regularly, often at various state bar's annual meetings. CLE is a big part of these meetings, so CaseMaker® sends their own people to educate the various legal professionals. They had heard about Rebecca Skeeles' success with the OSBA, and offered her a job as a speaker and educator. She readily accepted, but made sure to limit her availability, so she could still be very present in her daughter's life. Rebecca has about one speaking engagement a month with CaseMaker®. It is an awesome set-up; she gets to travel the country pretty regularly, but she still has plenty of time at home.
