I am a PHD candidate at Deakin University in Melbourne, exploring the way in which front line workers in international aid understand and enact the policy of context-responsiveness, within education aid in the Pacific region. Having worked in international aid in the Pacific region for almost 20 years, I have an enduring interest in the relationship between practice and policy, and the role of identity in shaping aid professionals' practice. My research is motivated by my strong belief in the value of reflective practice and research-practice collaborations to improve the workings of international aid.
