I know firsthand what it’s like to walk out of “the smoke” of physical, emotional and “religious” abuse and not smell like the ashes and the joy of rising with wings as an Eagle when I really felt like quitting … then to turn and comfort those who are weary. You can become better versus bitter and know there really is safety and growth in being true to yourself, forgiving others and being transparent!
