Rebekah was born on August 18, 1969 (the last day of the Woodstock Music Festival) in Falls Church, Virginia. This location is exactly 305 miles South of the Bethel, New York--the location of the Woodstock Music Festival. Rebekah was an unexpected, but not unwelcome, child of her parents who had been married for 9 years without children. Rebekah was the only child on either side of her maternal and paternal families to have been born south of the Mason Dixon line since the early 1800's.

Rebekah attended school in Fairfax, Virginia and graduated from Fairfax High School June 9, 1986. She then attended George Mason University and graduated from there in 1989 with a BA in English Literature and Writing. After graduation, she worked in conjunction with the US Navy on the Aegis Weapons System.

In 1991, she began a career in education. She has taught at the elementary, secondary, and post secondary levels. In 2005, she obtained an M.Ed. in Secondary Education from The University of North Florida, and an ED.D. in Educational Leadership in 2013. She has authored various academic articles and short stories.

Rebekah has one son, currently studying Music Education at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She currently resides in North Florida.
