Rebekka is an actor and high school Drama and English teacher currently living in Hamilton, ON, Canada.

She is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin’s M.Phil. in Theatre and Performance program, has a B.A. in Dramatic Arts and English Language and Literature from Brock University, and a B.Ed. from Redeemer University College.

Her recent theatre performances include Chicago with Theatre Ancaster; A Modicum of Freedom with Make Art Theatre; Ephemeral Home at Hamilton Fringe with Passing Through Theatre; Normal Shmormal at MindPLAY festival with Open Heart; Perfect Wedding with Village Players Toronto; and Annie with Theatre Ancaster.

She is currently part of Hamilton’s ALERT program (Artistic Leadership and Entrepreneurial Training Program) through Hamilton Fringe.

Rebekka has been teaching English and Drama at a Christian private school for almost three years. She especially loves teaching Grade 11 Drama where her students create original monologues, study scenes from contemporary dramatic works, learn theatre history, explore voice and movement, and devise performance work based on their personal interests.

In her English classes she loves teaching dramatic literature such as Wilde's the Importance of Being Earnest and Shakespeare's Hamlet.

Personal interests include travelling, fencing (Women's Sabre, Brock and Trinity Varsity Teams), reading, and spending time with her two squishy-faced cats Sookie and Oscar.
