Redhook AnimeManga

We are the Bard Anime Club working together with the Redhook Public Library to revive a past community project which is to invite local avid anime and manga lovers to join us for an hour on Saturdays to watch anime and to learn a little bit about Japanese youth sub-culture.

We are Destiny, Dj and Yue, all seniors at Bard College. Japan is all part of our majors and we have 2+ years experience in the Japanese Language. We are excited at the prospect of teaching beginners Japanese as a fun activity as well as set up other fun activities related to learning about Japan such as making onigiri (rice balls).

Our main objective is to have fun, no seriousness necessary. We welcome any teen or pre-teen who loves anime/manga or is interested in learning more about anime/manga and or Japanese culture in general. We are open to ideas and suggestions and we encourage anyone interested to make comments on our website.
