Red Pill
I am an avid learner and teacher but I live in isolation.
I'm 28 and in my early twenties I was diagnosed with ME/CFS and over time my condition just worsened and I would retreat more and more into my mind to escape the pain.
It led me to a love of learning and teaching.
I spend most of every day on a couch and only get out of the house a few times a year.
My only qualification to write is I'm a human being with my eyes wide open. I believe though, that through these eyes a rare perspective is seen, because being removed from the world is being removed from the distractions of life which prevent most of us from being able to think, philosophise and observe the world as objectively as possible.
The prison cell has the potential to spawn great insight, and has done so in the past. Make no mistake - I am very much a prisoner to my own bad health.
Life is tough for all of us. It needn't be.
Whether I'm a nice person or not depends on the prick I'm talking to (I kid, of course). I used to at least think I was one, but now I'm not so sure. Although truthfully one new characteristic my illness has bestowed upon me is indecision, believe it or not, so I'm not quite sure of anything anymore - except what I have and will be posting at my blog Jingo Planet
:D
