I am a fanfiction writer who goes by the online pseudonym of Regann. I've been writing and posting fanfiction online since 2000 when I joined fanfiction.net. Since then, I have posted over 100 stories, some of which were actually pretty popular. My fandoms of interest have included fantasy RPGs, anime, fantasy novels, comics, scifi shows and movies. I have been known to write meta analysis and get quoted at places like Fanlore.

Once upon a time, I was a graduate student. What did I study? Among other things, fandoms and how they work in modern American society. I have been acknowledged for my contributions in a book about the study of online cultures and content.

In my non-online life, I manage circulation at a library where I also work on collection development, readers advisory, and literacy advocacy for fragile populations, including at-risk teens. I am currently working on projects to promote digital literacy among under-served populations and introduce comics to a larger audience.
