Hi, I am a lecturer at University of Teacher Education Bern (PHBern).

The digital transformation has transformed a lot of things - including me. Inspired by ongoing technical disruptions, I'm interested in what technology is doing to us humans, animals and the environment. For example, what impact does the smartphone have on our everyday lives? To what extent do small screens influence our reading habit? What influence does the Internet, especially social media, have on the way we live together in our society?

In addition, technology per se is also interesting: How, for example, does an A get from the keyboard to the screen? How can we calculate with electricity? Can technology help us distinguish fact from fiction? All these are questions I like to try to answer - scientifically, of course.

Besides researching socio-cultural and technical perspectives of digitality, it is a great concern of mine to pass on the generated knowledge. But which contents are important or most important? How do I teach them best? What does good teaching mean? These are also the kinds of didactic questions that keep me busy day in and day out.
