Listen to my music

- Born on June 28th in Amman to a Palestinian family of 5 kids; a third child who had an exceptionally joyful childhood.

- I can talk just as much as I can observe at the same time, which is TOO MUCH. Here's an example;

- Although I spent my teenage years dreaming about becoming a journalist, mostly fascinated by war correspondents (believe it or not), I ended up studying Literature and Cultural Studies at the Hashemite University in Jordan.

- I wanted to become a war correspondent since I never trusted what I heard on TV. I wanted to be in each place, see things and report them the way they are. The only public Journalism school in Jordan changed its admission policy the summer I intended to apply, and I knew it too late.

- I loved my major in school that I soon turned into the annoying A+ student in most courses, not because I was a nerd, I wasn’t, just because reading articles and writing reflective essays was the way we were evaluated, and that’s something I love and enjoy doing. Plus, our topics always got my attention, from post-colonialism, neo-colonialism, psychoanalysis, to feminism... etc

- On the third year of my studies I won the NESA UGRAD scholarship to study in the US for one academic year, at the University of Missouri. One big year of my life.

- I taught Arabic to non-speakers of the language. I started teaching in a private institute in Amman, and after two years I won the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistantship FLTA 2016-2017. I taught for one year at SIT Graduate Institute in Vermont.

- Passions (no order):

o MUSIC.

o MOVIES.

o Family.

o BOOKS.

o Friends.

o Food.

o Languages.

o TRAVEL.

o PEOPLE.

- Following up with what’s happening in the world is painful, exhausting, and stressful, but I can’t seem to stop!

- As long as you're smart, feel free to discuss any non-personal topic with me.

- My faith is a personal issue I prefer to not discuss unless we are really close.

- Palestine is a cause I'll never stop defending. I will never forget the pity I saw in my late grandmother's eyes when she was telling me stories of how she had to leave her new house, and live the rest of her life in a refugee camp.

- I'm a cancer zodiac and an INFJ (to a great not absolute extent).

- Wandering, traveling, and tasting food is what I call love!
