Rehar

Rehar is a small town in Bijnor district, in Uttar Pradesh state, India. Historically a town of British India, it was founded in the mid-eighteenth century by a local leader named Nawab Afzal Ali Khan, who also built a fort in the area, which was dismantled after the Indian Rebellion of 1857. There is only one temple in Rehar which is said to be about 150 years old and Pandit Charan Dass Kaushik was instrumental in construction of this Temple, in the era of Kunwar Nav Rattan Singh the then King of Rehar State (Riyashat).
