I am deeply passionate about creative arts, with writing as my chosen medium of expression. I've authored several books for OMF Literature, one of which won the Filipino Reader’s Choice Award ('Boring Ba Ang Bible Mo?' / Is your Bible boring?). I used to also run a weekly opinion column at a popular news daily in the Philippines.
Aside from works of creative non-fiction, I have published academic papers and contributed book chapters on the fusion of digital technology, decoloniality, missiology, and public theology.
I've worked with the Institute for Studies in Asian Church and Culture (ISACC) and Micah Philippines with the hope of seeing church networks, theological training institutions, and faith-based development organizations deepen their Christian engagement with culture, poverty, and justice. In 2018, I joined Tearfund UK to coordinate its theological education network in East and Southeast Asia and most recently the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) to coordinate its international Theological Commission.
I'm also part of the faculty of the Master in Social Work (MSW) department of the Asian Seminary of Christian Ministries and the theology department of the Bible college of the IEMELIF (The Evangelical Methodist Church in the Philippines).
I am a licensed professional teacher (LPT), with degrees in both theology and communication research. My MA is from the College of Media and Communication, University of the Philippines-Diliman.
