Reika Rainier

California

Reika Rainier writes under a penname to protect the privacy of herself and others.

She is the average gal living in one of the numerous, obscure towns in California, still figuring out what to do with her quirky, awkward self. Her passions are focused in the arts, singing, drawing, painting, and of course, writing. She has a particularly soft spot for the little furry folk, and owns two gawky, floppy, loud pugs, as well as three odd cats.

She only recently decided to begin calling herself a writer, namely after she attended a Central Coast Writer's Conference and won third place in the first page hook competition, fiction category. Since then, she has spent a large part of her time in a little hole in the wall cafe, sipping honeyed iced tea and trying her best to keep her hands on the keyboard.

Singing is a more obscure hobby, but important to her, nonetheless. She has taken choir since the fourth grade, and went to Reno with choir that chose members from five western states.

If you've liked what you've read so far, then this shouldn't scare you away. She is a highschool student with high hopes for college. Not deterred? Great! Reika hopes to hear what you have to say, and would be delighted if you read her humble little blog!
