Reina Harwood
Writer, Reporter, and Editorial Intern in Eugene, OR
My name is Reina Harwood and I recently graduated with a degree in Journalism and Communications from the University of Oregon. I’ve been a transparent and concise writer who’s executed engaging headlines and ledes in magazine and newspaper settings for the last three years. My background further includes public relations and advertisement across several platforms fueled by my passions for storytelling and people. I consider myself a quick, adaptable and creative learner who's eager to explore unique ways of giving writing an impact!
My dedication and excitement for storytelling have led me to campus publications where I've produced award-winning stories. Beyond that, I've completed internships throughout my college experience at the
Portland Monthly Magazine and the Siuslaw News through a prestigious program called the Charles Snowden . I'm confident in my writing abilities and how to craft a narrative or message in a digestible way. I'm excellent when working on short deadlines and I consider myself a detail-oriented and observant writer.
I believe the key to success is open-mindedness and teamwork. Outside of journalism, I'd consider myself a secret poet and surf nerd. I'm currently open to work and eager to explore all opportunities that may be out there for me!
