Reishia Kelsey is a food lover and a self-taught home chef. Born in Agana Heights, Guam, to two U.S. Navy veterans, Reishia has tasted a variety of cuisines throughout the U.S. and abroad.

Growing up in a family surrounded by amazing home cooks, her passion for food and unique cooking techniques began at a Guamanian barbecue. From the use of banana leaves to roast meats, to the use of Achiote to transform rice, Reishia’s love for diverse comfort foods was ignited.

A fan of the Food Network, Reishia started an Iron Chef competition at her job. She lost the first battle, not for taste, but rather for presentation and originality. Since then, she made it her mission to cook innovative meals that appeal to the eyes as well as the belly. And she never lost a Iron Chef battle since!

The eldest of four sisters, Reishia enjoys exposing her family and friends to “her twist” on comfort foods.
