Remya Nair

Hello and welcome! My name is Remya Ramachandran Nair, and I am a passionate and dedicated educator with a strong foundation in science education and student-centered teaching practices. With a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Delhi University and a B.Ed. specializing in Science and English Pedagogy, I bring both academic excellence and strong communication skills to the classroom.

I have taught at The Ashiana School and Birla Vidya Niketan in India , where I had the opportunity to mentor diverse groups of students while developing innovative lesson plans and fostering positive learning environments. I am currently based in Ontario and in the process of enhancing my qualifications through Additional Qualification (AQ) courses, to align with Ontario’s educational standards.

As an OCT-certified teacher, I believe in nurturing curiosity, promoting inclusivity, and building strong relationships with students and parents alike. My teaching philosophy revolves around making science both accessible and exciting by connecting real-world applications to classroom content.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy exploring nature, reading about child psychology, and engaging in professional learning communities. I’m excited to connect with fellow educators, administrators, and mentors who share a vision for transformative education.
