Renard Harrison

My passion for music was stumbled upon at a very young age. Growing up in a house with different taste of music introduced me to the different artists and my interest latched on from then. In my teens a few friends and I would record music but in the Maryland/DC area the influence rested highly “Go-Go” music. We formed a band and live music and performing became the “It” thing for me. When these years passed I started a recording studio with money I had saved. This had introduced me to running a business for the first time.

When I move to Atlanta to attend the Art Institute for music production I came to a realization. I was more interested in the business side then the production side. I would get friends of mines live gigs, instrumentals, and also record there music. I quickly switched to the Music Business program at Full Sail to further my education in order to successfully manage an artist’s career. While in school I have developed a passion for photography which I have started a company for and used learned skills vice versa between the two.

I am a student at Full Sail University where I am completing my Bachelors of Science degree in Music Business. Upon completion of my degree in 2013 I plan to secure a job in the artist/entertainment management field. I will be using my knowledge on what it takes to run a business, marketing, publicity, and branding. These are all skills acquired during my education at Full Sail University coped with real world experience. I would like the experience of working with a proven company and side by side with industry professionals. My ambition mixed with knowledge has equipped me with the skills I need to take an artist’s career to the next level.
