I am Serena Maurice-Nwokoye, an independent baker/cake maker who specilises in baked goodies, free from gluten, wheat and dairy; I also make vegan cakes that are gluten free.

Being someone who has developed intolerences to gluten, wheat and dairy in my adult life I really missed the odd sweet treat in the form of a cake, biscuit, muffin or savoury treats such as cornbread and quiches. Although there are some shops that stock a few free from items, the taste and texture never really seems to match with the treats I remember enjoying as a child.

So I went on my own little mission to find and develop recipes that would allow me to treat myself every once in a while and low and behold I found that I had a natural talent and passion for baking and others seemed to agree after tasting my spoils!

So I'm on a mission to turn this talent and passion into my full time occupation offering those of us who always have to skip the dessert trollies or opt for fruit, the ability to enjoy a high quality and tasty cake once in a while without any painful side effects. And for those that may simply want to cut down on certain foods or simply for those of you that enjoy a good cake my cakes will definitely fit the bill.
