Upon moving to New York City in the late 1990s, Mr. Mazzucchelli joined Lehman Brothers as an Associate. He traded securities as part of the emerging markets group and held responsibility for a proprietary portfolio comprising local-currency securities. Renato Mazzucchelli subsequently accepted a position Barclays Capital as an Associate Director, performing similar duties to his initial post and overseeing a portfolio of structured credit transactions. At the start of the new millennium, Mr. Mazzucchelli began working with distressed debt. He became a Senior Vice President with Gramercy Advisors LLC in Greenwich, Connecticut, also acting as a Portfolio Manager. Five years later, Mr. Mazzucchelli established another company, RCB Investimentos S/A. As a founding Partner and Principal, he leads a team that strives to provide innovative investment options for a range of credit markets. The company led the way in creating funds comprising collections of nonperforming loans.
