New York born, always and forever creative. Using my intuition and imagination, the best parts of my brain. The rest is just survival. I am my happiest creating art... Starting out as a children's clothing designer in Manhattan taught me it wasn't what I wanted to do but I'm grateful for the experience as my first love is fabric. Moved to Los Angeles in 1976 and created Fan Clubs for teen idols which introduced me to creating logos, developing lettering styles, etc. I went on to become a professional calligrapher and will always consider calligraphy my main stay in the art world. I am an extremely eager artist. I want to learn and do everything so I do...at least try everything. I consider myself a multi media and mixed media artist because I could be doing art dolls one week and jewelry the next. I am never bored that's for sure! I love to take classes and study the techniques from artists that are doing what I want to learn. I consider myself an art slut with plenty of toys (I mean tools). ;o) When I think I've found my niche something else distracts me and I'm off and running. However, I do keep returning to each art genre and get better each time I do with new skills, knowledge and ways to approach a piece. Knowledge is power and gives me the confidence I need to create a design I see in my head. I always feel satisfied when it turns out better than I expected. I sell my work in a women's co-op gallery, Ten Women Venice, in Venice, California and I have an etsy shop which will become more active very soon. I plan to teach locally and create online classes in the future. Learning and sharing is awesome and I would love to be at both ends of the experience. I feel so grateful to be part of a fabulous ever growing artist community and to have so much available is incredible. It's such a great time to be an artist. I feel very blessed.
