Renee Willis

Willis began her career as the Assistant Director of Upward Bound at Baldwin-Wallace College, where she assisted in the administration of a federal program that aided first-generation college students. She then became an Administrator and Teacher at Cleveland Heights and University Heights City Schools. In 2007, she became Deputy Chief of prekindergarten through eighth grade education at the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. Impressed with her work, the district elevated her to Chief Strategic Implementation Officer and Chief of Transformation in 2010. Renee T. Willis currently serves as President of her own company, Responding to Challenges Consulting, which handles a variety of issues in the education industry.
Renee T. Willis maintains multiple certifications and licenses across a broad professional spectrum. In Ohio, she holds superintendent, middle and high school principal, supervisor, and grades 7 through 12 mathematics licensures. She attained a certification in project management from Corporate College in 2010; certification with the National Superintendents Academy in 2011; Kaplan-Norton certification in Strategy Management and Execution in 2011, and certification in Effective Communications and Crisis Media from the Fairmount Group in 2011.
In addition to her licensures, Renee T. Willis is a member in good standing with the National Association of Professional Women, The American Association of School Administrators, The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and a number of other national professional organizations. She has been recognized as a Woman of Note by Crain's Cleveland Business, Northeast Region Educator of the Year, Principal of the Year, and Teacher of the Year.
