Reneh Karamians

Reneh Karamians attended Ferrum College, in Ferrum Virginia where he majored in biology and minored in chemistry and continental philosophy. During his time at Ferrum, Dr. Karamians conducted research in bacterial identification. Dr. Karamians was the first Ferrum undergraduate to utilize and study the efficacy of the BIOLOG bacterial identification system. Supplementary to his study, Dr. Karamians developed an abridged manual for use with the BIOLOG system for training purposes. After commencement from Ferrum College, Dr. Karamians completed a research internship in forestry in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Dr. Karamians continues his education at Pepperdine University where he earned a Master's degree in clinical psychology. Dr. Karamians is also a graduate of the Pepperdine University Doctoral program in clinical psychology. During his doctoral training Dr. Karamians specialized in neuropsychology and instrument development. After completing his graduate course work, Dr. Karamians commenced from the Erie Psychological Consortium, where he continued his training in neuropsychology at Northshore Neurosciences, University of Pittsburgh HAMOT, and Health South of Erie. The topic of Dr. Karamians' dissertation was On the Validity and Reliability of the Computerized Memory Interference Test on a Primarily Spanish-Speaking Cohort. Currently, Dr. Karamians' research interests include HIV Associated Neurocognitive Disorder, head injuries, rehabilitation psychology, memory disorders and movement disorders. Dr. Karamians has been published in Psychiatry Research, International Clinical Psychopharmacology, Philosophy Now and has presented posters at several psychiatric and psychology conferences across the country.
