A business professional with more than a decade of experience in Portfolio and Program Management, advising clients on their controls and compliance environments and during technology implementation initiatives, Renu Murik is a Director of Strategic Investments and Firmwide Innovation with KPMG, LLP, in New York City and Montvale, New Jersey. Since March of 2012, she has worked as the Audit Innovation Portfolio Director, a position involving the management of a multi-million dollar portfolio focused on growing revenues for the Firm. She prepares reports on the portfolio's progress to the Board of Directors, the Management Committee and the Strategic Investments Committee. From the summer of 2011 to the spring of 2012, Renu Murik was the Program Director of a National Strategic Growth Initiative, the first program established within the Audit Innovation Portfolio.
In preparation for her career, Renu Murik enrolled at the University of Wollongong in Australia, from which she graduated with her Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and was awarded First Class Honors. Continuing her education, she qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia in 2000. The following year, Murik obtained the Information Systems Audit and Controls Association's Certified Information Systems Auditor credential. In 2005, Renu Murik received the Project Management Professional designation from the Project Management Institute.
