Hi, I'm Ré. I am a performing and visual artist, human rights advocate & thought leader with a passion for diversity and inclusion, migration and development, & art and activism.

I grew up amidst the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement and remain heavily influenced by Dr. Martin Luther King’s ideas of non-violence. Since the age of 18, I have traveled to more than 12 countries to internationalize messages of peace, hope, and non-violent resistance through exhibitions, performances, and leadership workshops.

My work has been exhibited in China, the USA, England, Turkey, India, and Spain, and I have served as a U.S. cultural envoy performing sacred black music with the National Theatre Company of China, the National Theatre of Uganda, and the Palestinian National Theatre. I have also performed sacred music of the African diaspora in South Africa, the Sudan, the U.S., India, and beyond.

In 2010, I graduated with honors from Stanford University and in 2013 I earned an M.Phil. in International Development from the University of Oxford, St. Antony’s College. I was previously an American India Foundation Fellow based in India and a Fulbright Fellow based in China. I currently work on issues of financial literacy and financial inclusion for middle market America in Atlanta, GA, USA.

I am the founder of AYA Global innovators, a startup that uses creative capital to spark leadership, community development, and activism among young women across Africa and its diaspora.
