Retaining the Meta

Who am I? Working on my PhD in English and looking at the alt/ac world for employment. Why this blog? Because what I’ll really miss about leaving academia is the sense that I am empowered, entitled, and expected to participate in the life of thought and intellectual discourse. (What I won’t miss: the sense of economic constraint.) So much so that I feel I simply can’t miss it. I’ve got to still be part of it. So I’ll be blogging on stuff that interests me: some culture, some literature, some art. And some epistolation to the world at large.
