I am a journalist, innovator, mother and writer. When I'm not teaching innovation to college students at the Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University, I am tinkering with several projects including mobile apps and an augmented reality project that brings black history alive across America. I finished a book about elder care in the African American community and working hard to get it published. I'm the president of the Arizona Association of Black Journalists and faculty advisor to the student chapter at ASU's Cronkite School.
