Chuck Nelson

I was born, went to school and got married in Minnesota. I met my wife while I was working for Dr. Simes (a vet in Duluth) as an assistant. I met my wife thru a mutual friend, and became friends. We got married in 1959, had our first son in 1960, our second son came along in 1961. We moved to Bakersfield, CA in 1962, where our daughter was born that fall. In 1964 we moved to Indio, CA; in 1968 we moved to Santee, CA. 1969 we bought our home, our kids went to school in Santee, all graduating from Santana High School. Our son and daughter still live in Santee, where their children all attended grade school, and high school. The whole time that we lived in Santee I worked for the same construction company until they pulled out of the union. At that point we sold our home (1994) and moved to the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles County. I work there until I finially had enough union credits in which to retire from construction in 2000. We then moved back to San Diego County, in Alpine where I worked part time as a Security Guard for an outlet center located on the Veijas Indian Reservation. In 2003 we moved back to Minnesota living on my cousins property in my uncles apartment. In 2011 we decided to relocate closer to the kids, which were all still living in Calif. We moved into our RV, and to the northwestern corner of Arizona, half way between Kingman and Bullhead City. Las Vegas is about 100 miles to our north. The time that we lived in the LA area we were full time RV'ers and are again. Lovin' life, and life is good.
