Reuben, a vibrant Ugandan male, sound and open minded. Professionally I started out as a Physiotherapist serving in a senior position with Paragon hospital Kampala in Uganda for a period of 2 years. I worked with various departments such as gynaecology and obstetrics, cardiology, orthopaedic, accident and emergency, neurology just to mention but a few.
I always had an ambition for computers and technology and started work with Computer Frontiers International rebranded as Infinity Computers and Communications Company (IC3).My short term goal was to learn as many new skills in IT and become conversant in various tools and applications.
As a technical support officer, I was able to build skills in; WAN/LAN management, IP telephony, help and service desk support, upgrades for software and hardware longevity etc. With I3C, I was involved with the Cisco program with the aim of registering the company as a reseller of Cisco products. Certifications in technical and sales disciplines were needed as part of the requirements. These certifications were the SMBs for accountants and engineers which were sales and technical qualifications respectively.
I also worked with Dynapharm Africa Tanzania Limited, a multilevel food supplement company with several other branches in Africa. As head of the IT department and a team of 3 dedicated professionals working were responsible for the company ICT infrastructure and particularly the database. The database helped manage entry, performance and storage of client information.
I have ICT skills in network and systems administration holding a certifications in CCNA and MCP. In conclusion I’m an information technologist with 5 years notable experience in directing a broad range of IT corporate infrastructure initiatives while participating in planning, analysing and implementing solutions in support of business objectives. I also possess working knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and IT service management.
