Hello! I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist in the Chicagoland area, and have been in private practice for over 25 years. Areas of expertise include individual mood related issues such as anxiety and depression, couple's counseling, concerns related to parenting, and substance use problems.

While problems are what often bring people into my office, I examine the natural strengths, resources, and abilities people rely on and find new ways to support a greater and more sustainable quality of life.

Problems are difficult, no doubt. People do not want the problems they bring with them, nor do they want to be defined by them. And by focusing on the enduring integrity of a person's strengths, resources, and abilities problems have the greatest chance of being resolved.

As an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, I provide supervision to those interested in taking the next professional step toward becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Illinois. This can be an anxious time for some, and whether in a group or individual setting, supervision serves to advance beginning clinicians to the next stage with competence and confidence.

As a theologian and ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene, I offer as much space for faith to inform the work I do, and am humbled by the invitation to participate in the lives of so many fascinating, creative, and remarkable people.
