Rev. Doris Ryans

Rev. Doris B. Ryans accepted her call into the Preaching Ministry on January 11, 2008 under the leadership of the late Joseph B. Barlow, Jr. She is a spirit-filled and often sought after speaker, teacher, and workshop presenter. She is the mother of one daughter, Kristyn (David) and enjoy the apples of her eye, two grandsons, Suruli (11) and Donald Joshua (12 months). In her leisure time she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Rev. Ryans is an Associate Minister at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Kevin B. Mack. She provides leadership to the Women’s Ministry, Daughters of Zion, is a member of the Christian Education Staff, teaching the Women’s Sunday School Class, and serve on the Trustee Board.
Rev. Ryans has a passion for studying and teaching the Word of God. God has called her to encourage and minister to the needs of other, with an emphasis upon women. In response to this call, “Divinely Blessed & Restored Ministry” was organized in 2005 to lead God’s people to spiritual and emotional restoration by the transforming power of the Holy Spirt, sharing the Word of God through workshops, bible study, and retreats. She also facilitates a Christian Book Club “Coffee, Tea & Thee”.
Rev. Ryans retired after 25 years with the Third Judicial Circuit Court as the Assistant Friend of the Court and is currently employed at Marygrove College as a Department Manager of Central Services. Her educational accomplishments include degrees in Business Administration, Accounting and Computer Information Systems, and graduate degrees in Organizational Management . And, the degree she is most proud of, a Master of Arts Degree in Theology from Ashland Theological Seminary, with a concentration in Spiritual Formation and Theology.
Rev. Ryans’ creed for living is based upon Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthensme.” Her strength in times of trials isbased upon words of Jesus Christ in Matthew 19:26 – “….with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
