R.E. Weiss

Currently attending Gotham Writers Workshop for Poetry I, looking for some feedback and words of encouragement.

Inspirations include the usual's (Dickinson, Whitman, Frost) but I am also inspired by Billy Collins, Charles Simic, Raymond Carver, and Anne Sexton (my all time favorite)

My poetry will range from Rhymed (sonnets and other forms) to Free Verse.

I enjoy writing most about nature and childhood, and of course love and death.

I'd like to think I write what is usually referred to as Confessional Poetry (very open, almost journalistic or diary like; i.e. Anne Sexton)
