It was 1996. I had just moved to a new High School. My goal was to become the Senior Class President. The issue was that I only knew a few people; I needed some serious marketing.

I drafted mini-posters with a trivia fact and a simple "Vote for Rex". I've always have a knack for noticing human behavior and this time it taught me that teenagers do not look at walls when walking down the school corridor -- they look at the floor. Armed with clear shipping tape, I covered the floors with these posters. For good measure, I also walked up and down the halls sticking post-it notes to each locker with a simple "Vote for Rex" stamp on each. Something worked...I was elected President.

Since then I've worked with and for numerous Small Businesses to help them be seen and heard. Currently, I am a partner at Intersect Marketing Group where we focus on Online and Print Marketing for Real Estate Agents and Small Businesses.
