As a Managing Director at Juniper Advisory, a Chicago-based investment banking firm, Rex James Burgdorfer assists clients in the acute-care hospital industry on merger and acquisition transactions. Since joining the company in 2009, he has advised a range of companies regarding strategic alternatives, including Mercy Medical Center in its merger with ProMedica, Memorial Medical Center in its partnership with Spectrum, and Halifax Regional in its combination with Sentara.

Prior to joining Juniper Advisory, Rex James Burgdorfer spent several years as an associate in the institutional securities division of Morgan Stanley. He holds a master of business administration in finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor of science in finance from the University of Wisconsin.

Outside of work, Rex James Burgdorfer is active in the Chicago civic community. He and his family live downtown and support organizations such as Sue Duncan Children’s Center and MetroSquash.
