Based in Northern California, Rey Mayoral is a retired educator who has held many positions within the education sector since he began his first position as a junior high school teacher in East Los Angeles. Today, Rey Mayoral brings almost four decades of experience to his role as a project consultant for the Marin County Office of Education, where he collaborates with local schools to support three projects aimed at providing students with better scholastic opportunities.

Prior to assuming his current role, Mr. Mayoral served as a principal at four high schools on the West Coast. He most recently functioned as principal of Novato High School, where he oversaw the development and implementation of the school’s programs, hired and managed staff, and worked with district employees to create an effective learning environment for students.

Rey Mayoral earned his BA in physical education before pursuing his master of education from the California State Polytechnic University. He has given professional presentations at industry events like the COSA Conference and the National School Improvement Conference, and he previously served as an executive board member for the Senior High School Assistant Principal Association.
