Welcome back to my about.me page that's not really a blog made for making and sending individual posts.
*insert laugh here*
Anyway, last week, we had our last financial fitness workshop where we talked about loans, budgeting, and how to be smart about saving money.
In terms of budgeting, I'm not doing much. Currently, I really don't have a plan or strategy "set in stone" to benefit my financial stability or limit myself. It's not like I spend crazy amounts of money right now. It's quite the opposite because I know that my mom is the only source of income and that it's already difficult on her, so I refrain from any high expense purchases. She's actually taught me how to manage everything nicely, but over the summer when I start working, I know budgeting will help me lots because I'm going to want to up my fashion game, which'll be disastrous to my bank account if I don't have a plan in place to limit me.
To avoid the total destruction of my bank account, the suggestions made such as the 50/30/20 and the envelope method were really interesting to me. I'll probably try those methods in the future because I'm crazy about organization and those sound perfect.
As for loans, I have a Parent Plus Loan that will be paid off by myself and my mom after college. It should ease the stress of having this debt for years and years. Both of us paying at the same time should shorten the amount of time.
