Reza Sadeghian

Drawing on over a decade of experience in leading Health Information Technology (HIT), Reza Sadeghian, MD, has been serving Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) in California as Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) since 2019. Dr. Reza Sadeghian leveraged his health IT and clinical informatics experience to establish ARMC’s Clinical Informatics division by restructuring the IT department, and assuming the role of medical director of Clinical Informatics. Dr. Reza Sadeghian has implemented system efficiencies that have increased productivity and reduced annual costs. His responsibilities span financial management, budgeting, strategic planning, and organizational resource oversight.
Among other efforts at the hospital, Dr. Sadeghian guided the implementation of telemedicine for more than 34 outpatient services, 54 skilled nursing facilities across San Bernardino County as well as for the County Detention Centers. He also developed the governance model for its Epic electronic medical records program. ARMC received over 1 million dollars in telemedicine funding for ARMC through two CARES Act grants, under Dr. Sadeghian’s leadership.
Affiliated with several professional organizations, Dr. Sadeghian is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and subsequently became the first pediatrician in North America to complete fellowships in both biomedical and clinical informatics. He is board eligible in Clinical Informatics by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. In 2021, he earned certification from the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery.
Reza Sadeghian, MD, also holds an MBA and is trained in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FEMA) in healthcare, as well as in applying Lean manufacturing principles to this sector.
