Raymond is a co-founder and architect at StrongLoop, Inc. He develops LoopBack, an open source mobile framework in Node.js.
Raymond is a member of Apache Software Foundation. He has been contributing to Apache projects including Tuscany, Wink, and Oltu. Raymond co-authored Tuscany SCA in Action book.
Prior to StrongLoop, Raymond worked for Shutterfly, Inc. as a Staff Web Engineer, where he built the SOA service framwork, domain driven DSL, oAuth 2.0 API server, mobile backend, and centralized logging in Java.
Raymond spent 8 years at IBM. He was one of the poineers developing business integration platforms using Service Component Architecture (SCA) for IBM WebSphere Process Server and Apache Tuscany.
Raymond's first job in the United States was a Principal Engineer at Soft Tech Development, Inc. He developed Java connectors to access data and transaction systems on IBM Mainframes. He also served as an instructor for the company to train customers on IBM systems.
While studying at the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Raymond developed the high performance trading and clearing systems in C and SQL for the first several established commodity future exchanges in China.
