Richard Purcell

Richard Francis Purcell is a budding young professional who uses his international business experience and entrepreneurial appetite to work both for non-profit and for-profit start-ups. His passion for business grew during his summer in Guadalajara, Mexico where he refined his Spanish language ability and shadowed international business leaders at the U.S Department of Commerce and Vector Financial Services. Richard continues to show leadership by holding the Treasurer position of the Charlotte World Trade Association, one of the largest international trade organizations in the state. He is also assisting in the growth of a newly formed entrepreneur's organization focused on economic empowerment. Richard's strong sense of community has benefited many. He does volunteer work with underprivileged minority youth and his recent completion of a half marathon helped raise thousands of dollars for sufferers of Crohn's disease and other forms of inflammatory bowel diseases. Richard has strong and varied interests that include travel, rock climbing, foreign languages, reading, golf, music, and spending time with his family. Though a native New Yorker who values his roots, over the past ten years he has grown accustomed to and fond of his home in North Carolina. He holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is always furthering his education and expanding his skill set. Richard Purcell is an optimist, a skilled businessman, and a world citizen with an eye for the future.
