Rob Carr

I dabble with technology, form and function, working as a consultant engineer, web solutions architect and web developer. I'm capable as a project manager, efficient as a team player and comfortable as a speaker.

I currently work as an independent consultant to advise, analyse, design and implement information systems (software and web applications), predominantly building systems with the Drupal CMS.

I have over 30 years experience as an engineer, manager and web developer:

• I spent 15 years as an engineer officer in the Royal Navy's submarine service.
• I worked as as a systems engineer, analyst and consultant for organisations such as NATO C3 Agency, MOD, Airbus, MDBA and BAE.
• I managed a major programme to aggregate, develop and manage websites and information services at the University of California Los Angeles.
• I set up Cognimatic in 2010 delivering Drupal-based web applications and websites.

I miss being on the water - under sail or powered by paddle or oar. Having recently built my own house, spare time is now spent scratching my head on my smallholding, as well as amusing the fruit of my loins.

I love decent beer, tempt fate on two wheels, wield a chainsaw and generally meddle with things.
