Ryan Giblin

Hello! My name is Ryan, and I am a junior finance and economics major at Umass Amherst. I have a variety of different passions, such as skiing, reading, and watching copious amounts of Hell's Kitchen on Sunday nights.

In this coming spring, I plan on spending a semester studying abroad at the University of Mannheim in Mannheim, Germany! It is an experience I am looking forward to, and I can't wait to get going. The background picture is actually where many of the classes are held, inside Mannheim Palace, the largest baroque palace in the world!

My career plans are aligned with my passions, and once I get back from Germany I hope to be taking part in a finance related internship. While I am not entirely sure what I would like to do when I grow up, I know that I enjoy financial analysis and asking deep questions that revolve around why events occur. This desire to understand is what drove me into finance and economics, and will continue to influence my path as I go past my undergraduate education!

I have worked in a bunch of different places from banks to sales to food service, and I always enjoy talking about any of my experiences so feel free to drop me a line at any time!
