I'm originally from Shropshire, and completed a degree in biology at St. John's College Oxford in 2009. I joined the Teach First Leadership Development Programme in 2009 and taught science at an academy in the Black Country. Following time spent living abroad I worked as a Teaching Assistant at a residential school for boys with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and completed an MA in Educational Leadership with Warwick University. In 2012 I joined Teach First as a Leadership Development Officer, coaching Teach First teachers in the West Midlands. In January 2015 I became a Senior Leadership Development Officer, managing up to eight Leadership Development Officers alongside supporting up to 30 Teach First teachers. In June 2016 I took up the post of Leadership Development and School Relationships Senior Officer for Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft in the East of England, and as of September 2017 I am now School Partnerships Manager for Teach First in the East of England. In this role I am working to develop strong partnerships between Teach First and schools across the region, supporting schools that have previously struggled to find great teachers to recruit driven, passionate people with leadership potential.
