It all started when a girl and her clothes decided to collaborate with some talented photographers around the city.

Officially founded in 2017 by Rhiannon Pownall, la nouvelle began as a school project that soon began to occupy many aspects of her life. She now hopes for la nouvelle to be an exciting platform of self-expression, creativity, fashion and life experiences that provides inspiration for all its readers. We write about what you want to read, and how you want to read it: honestly, openly, with a hint of je ne said quoi (but we do know what it is, it's sarcasm for the win).

Just like our hair, life isn't always perfect, but fly-aways and split ends aside, an amazing outfit and a great pair of shoes has always helped us kick some ass and seize the day.
