Rhoda Wilson started The Rhoda Wilson show in 2005 on OBE TV. In 2008 The Rhoda Wilson Show moved to BEN TV (Sky Channel 184) aired weekly, had a viewership of circa 1,300,000 per show in 2010. With a wide mix of subject matter, Rhoda selects her guests with the central theme of Inspiration and motivation. The 30 minute show consists of interviews based on the lives of inspirational and growing talent across the UK. High Profile guests who have appeared on the Rhoda Wilson Show include: Evangelist Tony Allen; Reality TV star Robert Alleyne; Celebrity hair stylist Des Murray, Interior Design Expert Vanessa Brady and Model agent impresario Sola Oyebade.
As well as profiling a variety of guests Rhoda Wilson has also appeared on a number of TV and radio shows including BBC World Service, VoxAfrica, Bang Radio and Colourful Radio.
In 2012 His Excellency President Jacob Zuma and The Government of South African invited Rhoda as a guest of the African Union to attend the "Global African Diaspora Summit" in South Africa, one of only 2 members of the British-African Diaspora to receive this invitation. In 2012 Rhoda was also shortlisted in the Wise Women Awards and the Women for Africa Awards for her services to Media in the UK. In 2009 Rhoda Wilson won "Best TV Presenter" at the BEFFTA Awards in London; a tremendous honour. Rhoda was profiled in the media world of MIPTV in Cannes and AFRICAST in Abuja, Nigeria in 2010. Rhoda hosted the annual 'You're Beautiful, Woman!' 2010 event; inspiring over 200 female delegates. In 2011 Rhoda was listed as one of the top 20 most inspirational Women from the African Diaspora by ADIPWE, amongst some of the world's most esteemed creatives, entrepreneurs and professionals. At Inspirational YOU 2011; Rhoda Wilson was amongst a panel of high profile media professionals to an audience of over 150.
In 2007 Rhoda Wilson founded the African and Caribbean Women's Achievement and Leadership Foundation, another example of the formidable nature of Rhoda's talents. The foundation seeks to provide a platform for empowerment and engagement for Black and Ethnic Minority women across the UK. Her vision for success and positive media messages ensure that she has become a strong representative for leadership in the African Diaspora.
